The Configuration Manager 2007 settings properties dialog box displays information about a setting within a configuration item. To view and edit the setting properties, select the setting on the configuration item properties Settings tab, and click Edit.

- Specifies the validation criteria for the setting, and whether to raise a noncompliance event of the specified severity if the specified instance count rule fails.
