A relational operator is a query condition (such as, is equal to) that defines how the About Query Criterion Values of the expression is compared with the specified About Attributes and Attribute Classes.

The types of relational operators that are available depend on the data type of the attribute. The data types are numerical, date and time, and string.

Relational operators are typically used when configuring a About Criterion Types to compare one query attribute to another. When adding a relational operator to a query in design view, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 prompts you with a drop-down list including all relational operators that are valid for the query expression.
