Before you install the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 console, verify that you have met the prerequisites. For more information, see Prerequisites for Installing Configuration Manager.
You must be logged on using a domain account. If Configuration Manager 2007 is installed on a computer where the logged-on user account is a local account and not part of a domain, Setup might appear to succeed, but access to the Configuration Manager 2007 console fails and you will need to reinstall.
