Access accounts allows you to grant, limit, or revoke access to package source files on distribution points, per user or per group. If you add or modify an existing Generic or Windows access account you must refresh all associated distribution points with the new permissions.
To specify a package access account

Navigate to Access Accounts.

Right-click Access Accounts, point to New, and then click the type of access account you want (Windows or Generic).

In the new Access Account dialog box, specify the user or user group account that can access the package on the distribution point.
New Generic Access Account

Specify the access account by typing the account name on the User name line using the following format: Domain\User. Specify if this account will be a User or Group in the Account type section. |
