If the boundary is a predefined SMS 2003 child boundary it is not editable. In order to change SMS 2003 child boundaries, you must first delete the pre-existing boundary and then create a new boundary for the site from within the Configuration Manager console |
- Description
- Displays the boundary description and allows you to modify it.
- Site Code
- Displays the site code that the selected boundary applies to.
- Type
- Displays the current boundary type and allows you to change it to one of the following options: IP Subnet, Active Directory Site, IP v6 Prefix, or IP Address Range.

Note When configuring IPv6 prefixes as boundaries for Configuration Manager sites, prefixes entered using IPv6 zero compression are converted to the full IPv6 subnet format. For example, an IPv6 prefix entered as "aa::bb" would need to be translated into "00AA:0000:0000:00BB".
