When Configuration Manager 2007 client software is installed on a computer, the client record in the site database is flagged with an installed status. The client record in the database maintains the installed status even if the Configuration Manager 2007 client software is later uninstalled. The Clear Install Flag task clears the installed flag on the client record in the site database if the client is not rediscovered by Heartbeat Discovery.
Use the Clear Install Flag task to flag uninstalled clients as uninstalled, thus allowing them to be reinstalled by the Client Push Installation method.
When enabling this task, set the Client Rediscovery period to an interval longer than the Heartbeat Discovery schedule.

Defaults This task is not enabled by default. When enabled, this task will clear the client install flag for clients not discovered by heartbeat discovery within the last 21 days. The default schedule for this task to run is every 7 days on Sunday between midnight and 5:00 A.M.
