Use the Select a Package dialog box in Configuration Manager 2007 to specify the package used to host the selected software updates. The updates are downloaded and then copied to the package shared folder on all distribution points configured for the package. Software updates can be downloaded from the Download Updates Wizard, Deploy Software Updates Wizard, or Update List Wizard.
The Select a Package dialog box contains the following elements:
- Packages
- Displays all deployment packages for the site. Specify the
package that will host the software updates. When a package is
selected, the following information is displayed:
- Name
- Manufacturer
- Version
- Language
- Package ID
- Description
- Name
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
