Use the Custom Schedule dialog box in Configuration Manager 2007 to schedule the start, recurrence pattern, and duration of a Configuration Manager operation.
Depending on the feature from which it is launched, the Custom Schedule dialog may vary significantly in the details displayed. In some cases, recurrence pattern options may not be displayed, in others, the Time option displays the duration of the operation, rather than the start date and time.
The Custom Schedule dialog box contains the following elements:
UI Element List
Name | Description |
---|---|
Name |
Specifies the name of the specific instance of this operation. For example, if the operation is a maintenance window, it will indicate the name of that particular instance (or recurring series) of the maintenance window. |
Time |
Specifies the start date and time or duration of the operation. The specific controls displayed will vary considerably, depending on the operation from which it is launched. In some cases, a duration field will be displayed, and will allow for direct configuration; in other cases, it will only reflect fields being changed elsewhere in the dialog box, or will not be displayed at all. Depending on the type of operation, the option to set the start date and time to UTC time might be available. If this option is present and selected, the start date will be set according to Coordinated Universal Time instead of local time. |
Recurrence Pattern |
Specifies how often this operation recurs. The following options are some of those that might be available for setting a recurrence pattern:
|
OK |
Saves the changes and exits the dialog box. |
Cancel |
Exits the dialog box without saving any changes. |
Help |
Opens the help topic for the dialog box. |
