Upgrading from System Management Server 2003 Device Management Feature Pack to Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 preserves the following mobile device management information:
- Mobile device client inventories
 
- Mobile device client records
 
- Mobile device collections
 
- Advertisements created in the Device
Management Feature Pack
 
- Settings and packages created in the Device
Management Feature Pack

Procedure
Upgrade from a site running the Device Management Feature Pack using the following steps.
To upgrade a site server running the Device Management Feature Pack to Configuration Manager
- 
Uninstall the Device Management Feature Pack. 
- 
Configure Internet Information Services (IIS) and firewalls for communication between Configuration Manager 2007 site servers and mobile devices. 
- 
Install Configuration Manager 2007, and enable mobile device management. For more information about upgrading, see Configuration Manager Upgrade and Interoperability Planning and Deployment.
