To modify a program within a package, you must have Modify permission for the Package Security object type or for the specific package instance. For more information about security permissions, see Classes and Instances for Object Security in Configuration Manager.

To modify a program within a package

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / <server name> / Computer Management / Software Distribution / Packages / <package name> / Programs.

  2. Right-click the program you want to modify, and then click Properties.

  3. In the Program Property dialog box, update the settings as needed.
