When the Advertised Programs Client Agent is enabled to advertise and run virtual application packages in Configuration Manager 2007, a policy that requests that the virtual application package components are enabled on client computers is assigned to the site. These components allow you to advertise and run virtual application packages on Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

When you enable the advertised programs client agent to run virtual application packages, all Configuration Manager 2007 client computers in the site will be configured to run virtual application packages. It is not possible to enable a single computer or collection to run virtual application packages. |
Use the following procedure to enable the Advertised Programs Client Agent for running virtual application packages.

To configure the advertised programs client agent for running virtual application packages

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> - <site name> / Site Settings / Client Agents.

Right-click Advertised Programs Client Agent, and then select Properties.

On the General tab, to enable the client agent for running virtual applications, click Allow virtual application package advertisement.

Click OK to exit the properties dialog box.
