System Center Configuration Manager 2007 generates many types of status messages.
The Component Status Summarizer determines when there are enough of a certain type of message to generate a warning or critical status in the Component Status display, and whether the status should be replicated to the parent site.
The Site System Status Summarizer determines when the free disk space on a site system falls below a specified threshold, and whether the status should be replicated to the parent site.
The Advertisement Status Summarizer determines only whether the status should be replicated to the parent site.
