Use the General tab of the Configuration Manager 2007 ConfigMgr server locator point Properties dialog box to specify the Configuration Manager 2007 database that the server locator point should use and the Windows user account details to be used to connect to the database.
This tab contains the following elements:
- Use the site database
- Specifies that the server locator point should communicate directly with the Configuration Manager 2007 site database.
- Use a database replica
- Specifies that the server locator point should communicate with a replica of the Configuration Manager 2007 site database.
- SQL Server name:
- If Use a database replica is selected, specify the name of the SQL server containing the database replica which the server locator point should communicate with.
- Database name:
- If Use a database replica is selected, specify the name of the database which the server locator point should communicate with.
- Use the server locator point's computer account
- Specifies that the computer account on the server locator point site system computer will be used to connect to the SQL database.
- Use another account
- Specifies that an account other than the computer account on the server locator point site system computer will be used to connect to the SQL database.
- Server Locator Point Connection Account
- Displays the name of the server locator point connection account if this has been specified.
- Set
- Opens the Windows User Account dialog box which allows
you to specify a Windows user name and password for the server
locator point connection account.
Note This button is not available if Use the server locator point's computer account is selected.
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
- Apply
- Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
- Help
- Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
