Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003 give you the option to run the Security Configuration Wizard (SCW) to harden your server and reduce your attack surface. Some of the critical services needed to install or run a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 site system will be disabled unless you run SCW with the Configuration Manager 2007 template in place. If you have already run SCW on the server, install the Configuration Manager 2007 template and then run SCW again to allow SCW to detect and enable the ports and services required by Configuration Manager 2007 server roles.
