Before you can begin to generate reports in the Configuration Manager 2007 R2 console using SQL Reporting Services, you must configure properties for the reporting services point.

To configure properties for the reporting services point

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Reporting / Reporting Services, and expand the node.

Right-click the reporting services point server you want to configure, and then click Properties.

On the General tab of the Report Server Properties dialog box, review information about the currently selected report server. For more information about the items on this tab, see Report Server Properties: General Tab.
Note Information about the report folder will be shown only after you have created a new report or copied existing reports to this report server. -
On the Data Source Settings tab of the Report Server Properties dialog box, specify the Configuration Manager 2007 database server and database name to be used as the data source for SQL Reporting Services reports. For more information about the items in this tab, see Report Server Properties: Data Source Settings Tab.

On the Data Source Authentication tab of the Report Server Properties dialog box, specify the credentials used to access reports on the report server. For more information about the items in this tab, see Report Server Properties: Data Source Authentication Tab.

On the Data Source Security tab of the Report Server Properties dialog box, specify permissions for the users who have access to the data source specified in the Data Source Settings tab. For more information about the items in this tab, see Reporting Services Properties: Security Tab.

On the Security tab of the Report Server Properties dialog box, specify the users who have access to the selected report server. For more information about the items in this tab, see Reporting Services Properties: Security Tab.

Click OK to close the Report Server Properties dialog box.
