Use the Generic Account dialog box in Configuration Manager 2007 to specify a generic account that should be given to access a package on distribution points.
Generic access accounts are mapped to actual user or group accounts specific to the network operating systems of individual distribution points.
The following generic accounts are available for use:

Users |
Specifies that the generic account is a user account with read-only rights. The Users account is mapped to the local Users account. A generic Users account is created for each package by default. |

Guests |
Specifies that the generic account is a guest account with read-only rights. The Guests account is mapped to the local Guests account. A generic Guests account is created for each package by default. |

Administrators |
Specifies that the generic account is an administrator account with full control rights. The Administrators account is mapped to the local Administrators account. A generic Administrators account is created by default. |

| Do not remove the generic Administrators account without specifying one or more package access accounts that provide the Configuration Manager service account full control on all necessary distribution points. Failure to do so will mean that the Distribution Manager component will be unable to install, update, or remove the package on distribution points. |
