Note
You must have Read and View Collected Files permission for the Collection security object class or instance to view files that have been collected from clients in a collection.

To view a file collected from a client

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Collections.

  2. Expand Collections, and select a collection that contains the client whose collected files you want to view.

  3. In the results pane, right-click the name of the client whose collected files you want to view, point to All Tasks, and then click Start Resource Explorer.

  4. In the left pane, click Software.

  5. Click Collected Files. The list of files collected from the client appears in the results pane.

  6. Right-click a file, point to All Tasks, and then click View File to view the file. Another option is to right-click a file, select All Tasks, and then click Save to save the file in a different location, outside of Configuration Manager 2007, for viewing the file in another application.
