A Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 secondary site passes its data to its parent primary site. You cannot use the Configuration Manager 2007 console to connect directly to secondary sites, although you can use it to manage secondary sites. You must first connect the Configuration Manager 2007 console to a primary site that the secondary site reports to. The secondary site does not have to report directly to the primary site.

To view or configure secondary site settings

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, right-click System Center Configuration Manager 2007 and then click Connect to Site Database.

  2. In the Database Connection Wizard, on the Welcome page, click Next.

  3. On the Locate Site Database page, connect to the site database for the parent site server.
