Use the Collection Membership Rules page in the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Distribute Software to Devices Wizard to create the rules for populating the new collection There must be at least one membership rule.

- Membership rules
- Specifies the membership rules of the collection by
periodically running queries against the resource database or by
directly including specific resources
- New Direct Membership Rule icon: Click
to open the Create Direct Membership Rule Wizard. Direct
membership contains specific selected resources.
- New Query Membership Rule icon: Click
to open the Query Rule Property dialog box. Query rules
specify query-based membership of collections.
- Properties icon: Click to open the
Membership Rule Properties dialog box to view or modify the
current membership rule for the collection.
- Delete icon: Click to delete the
membership rule for the collection.
- New Direct Membership Rule icon: Click
to open the Create Direct Membership Rule Wizard. Direct
membership contains specific selected resources.
- Previous
- Goes to the previous page of the wizard.
- Next
- Goes to the next page of the wizard.
- Finish
- Goes to the Summary page of the wizard.
- Cancel
- Discards the settings and exits the wizard.
