The client site mode configuration determines how the Configuration Manager 2007 client communicates with its assigned site:
- A client that reports to a site in mixed mode
must be configured to communicate in mixed mode.
- A client that reports to a site in native
mode must be configured to communicate in native mode.
If the client and site mode does not match, the client cannot communication with the site and will send an error message to its assigned fallback status point.
Use the Site mode property displayed in the client's Configuration Manager to confirm whether the client computer is configured for native mode or mixed mode management.
