Use the Data Source page of the New Virtual Application Package Wizard to specify information about how the package will be saved.

Note
The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 R2 and Configuration Manager 2007 R3.

Name Description

Specify the ConfigMgr data source for this package

Specifies the location on the Configuration Manager 2007 server where the virtual application package will be saved. You must have read/write access to the directory specified or the import will fail. All existing files in the directory you specify will be overwritten, and the Destination directory cannot be the same location as the Source directory. Click Browse and specify the directory that will be used to save the package.

Important
After the package has been created the specified data source for the virtual application package cannot be changed. If you have updated an existing sequenced application you can still use this location as the data source. However if you want to create a new version of an existing application you should create and import a new sequenced application and save the new application in a new directory.
