Use the General tab of the Virtual Application Package properties dialog box to specify general information about the virtual application package.

The General tab contains the following elements:
- Name
- Specifies the name of the virtual application package, which can be up to 50 characters long. This field is required.
- Version
- Specifies the version number of the virtual application package, which can be up to 32 characters long.
- Manufacturer
- Specifies the software manufacturer of the virtual application package, which can be up to 32 characters long.
- Language
- Specifies the language version of the virtual application package, which can be up to 32 characters long.
- Comment
- Optional text about the virtual application package, such as a description. You can use up to 127 characters.
- Remove this package from clients when it is no longer advertised
- Specifies if the virtual application package and associated applications should be removed from target computers when the package advertisement is no longer available. This option is selected by default.
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
- Apply
- Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
- Help
- Opens the Help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
