Use the General tab of the Virtual Application Package properties dialog box to specify general information about the virtual application package.

The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 R2 and Configuration Manager 2007 R3.

The General tab contains the following elements:

Name

Specifies the name of the virtual application package, which can be up to 50 characters long. This field is required.
Version

Specifies the version number of the virtual application package, which can be up to 32 characters long.
Manufacturer

Specifies the software manufacturer of the virtual application package, which can be up to 32 characters long.
Language

Specifies the language version of the virtual application package, which can be up to 32 characters long.
Comment

Optional text about the virtual application package, such as a description. You can use up to 127 characters.
Remove this package from clients when it is no longer advertised

Specifies if the virtual application package and associated applications should be removed from target computers when the package advertisement is no longer available. This option is selected by default.
OK

Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
Cancel

Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
Apply

Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
Help

Opens the Help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
