Software updates can be removed from deployments in Configuration Manager 2007 from the properties for the specific deployment. After a software update is removed from a deployment, the assignment policy is updated and clients will receive the updated policy on their next policy cycle. The following procedure provides the steps necessary to remove a software update from a deployment.

To remove a software update from a deployment

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates / Deployment Management.

  2. In the results pane, right-click the desired deployment and click Properties.

  3. Click the Software Updates tab. The software updates that are currently in the deployment are displayed.

  4. Highlight the software update that you would like to remove, and then click Remove.
