Use the Provisioning Settings tab of the Out of Band Management Properties dialog box in Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 and later to configure AMT Provisioning and Discovery Accounts. There are several circumstances in which you will need to configure an account before Configuration Manager can provision a computer for out of band management, or before Configuration Manager can discover whether the computer has a management controller that will support AMT provisioning. This dialog box contains the following elements.

AMT Provisioning and Discovery Accounts

Specifies the name of the Remote Admin Accounts (by default, these are named admin) and the password as specified in the firmware for AMT-based computers. You can optionally specify a description for each account to help you identify the account.These accounts are also used to discover AMT management controllers. For more information, see How to Discover Computers with Management Controllers.Use the New icon to specify a new account for provisioning and discovery. Use the Properties icon to modify a selected account.Use the Delete icon to remove a selected account.There are no default AMT Provisioning and Discovery Accounts.
Note
A strong password is enforced for these accounts. The password is case sensitive and must be at least 8 characters, with a maximum of 32 characters, together with at least one each of an uppercase, a lowercase, a numeric, and a symbol character. Symbol characters include ! @ # $ % ^ & * and exclude : (colon) “ ” (double quotes) _ (underscore).
OK

Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
Cancel

Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
Help

Opens the help topic for this dialog box.
