You can add a new site system to the existing Configuration Manager 2007 site using the Configuration Manager console by following the procedures described in this topic.

Note
You must have Modify permission for the Site security object class or instance to perform this procedure.

When adding a new site system, you must choose to add either a server or server share site system.

Note
Server share site systems can be assigned only the distribution point site server role.

To add a new server site system

  1. In the Configuration Manager console of the primary site server, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> - <site name>/ Site Settings / Site Systems.

  2. Right-click Site Systems, click New, and then click Server to launch the New Site System Server Wizard.

  3. Complete the New Site System Server Wizard to add the new server site system.

To add a new server share site system

  1. In the Configuration Manager console of the primary site server, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> - <site name>/ Site Settings / Site Systems.

  2. Right-click Site Systems, click New, and then click Server to launch the New Site System Server Share Wizard.

  3. Complete the New Site System Server Share Wizard to add the new server share site system.
