The Update Lists properties dialog box in Configuration Manager 2007 specifies the console tree object name, which cannot be modified, from the General tab and allows the Update Lists console tree object security to be modified from the Security tab.

Update list objects use the Configuration Item class security. From the Security tab, users can be added or removed from the Configuration Item class security and security rights can be configured for each user.

Important
The Configuration Item security class is used by the following Configuration Manager console tree nodes: Update Lists, Update Repository, Network Access Protection, Policies, and Desired Configuration Management. The Configuration Item class security rights can be modified from the Security tab in the properties for any of these console tree nodes.

Click the link in the following section for detailed information about the Security tab in the Update Lists Properties dialog box.
