Use the Polling Schedule tab of the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Active Directory User Discovery Properties dialog box to specify when the selected Active Directory containers are polled to determine whether new users have been added.
The Polling Schedule tab contains the following elements:
- Polling Schedule
- Displays the scheduled discovery poll. By default, polling
occurs once every 24 hours. To customize a discovery schedule,
click the Schedule button.
Important Applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 R3. If you configure Configuration Manager 2007 R3 Delta Discovery, do not configure the full discovery polling schedule to be less than the default value of once every 24 hours. Note Configuration Manager polls the closest Active Directory resource to discover users in the containers specified on the General tab. Because this process can cause significant network traffic, you should plan accordingly.
