The Import Object Wizard in Configuration Manager 2007 is used to import reports that have been exported by using the Export Object Wizard. The user importing the report must have the Create security right for the Report class. Use the following procedure to import a report.

To import a report

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Reporting / Reports.

  2. Right-click Reports, and then click Import Objects.

  3. Click Next, and then specify the MOF path and file name. Click Browse to browse to the path and file location. Click Next.

    Caution
If there are existing reports with the same name and configured for the same category, the existing report will be overwritten with the imported report.
  4. Review the reports listed in the Objects pane, and then click Next. You must have Create security rights for the Report class for the reports to be imported.

  5. Click Next and review the comment for the Managed Object Format (MOF) file, click Next to import the report objects, and then click Finish to exit the wizard.
