Use this tab to set the default Configuration Manager 2007 class and instance security rights on this object. To see and configure this tab, you must have Administrator permission on this node, or on at least one object within this node.

For these rights to be effective, the user must be a member of the SMS Admins group on the SMS Provider computer. Adding user rights through the Object Class Security Right Properties dialog box or the Object Instance Security Right Properties dialog box does not give the user or group the necessary membership in SMS Admins. |
The following columns are displayed in the Class security rights section:
- Name: Displays the Windows User
account or group name for which the security right applies.
- Permissions: Displays the permissions
granted for the account in Name for this security object
class.
The following actions are available in the Class security rights section:
- New
- Click the New button to open the Object Class Security Right Properties dialog box, which you can use to create a new security right.
- Edit
- Click the Edit button to open the Object Class Security Right Properties dialog box, which you can use to modify an existing security right.
- Delete
- Click the Delete button to delete the selected security right.

- Name: Displays the Windows User
account or group name for which the security right applies.
- Permissions: Displays the permissions
granted for the account in Name for this security object
class.
