You have the option of being notified whenever your computer is accessed for a remote control session. If you choose to be notified when your computer is being remotely accessed, a status icon appears on your desktop or in the notification area, and a sound can be played. These settings are enabled on the Notification tab in the Remote Control Properties dialog box.
To view remote control progress, right-click the Remote Control icon and select Status. The status window that opens indicates the following:
- The version of Configuration Manager Remote
Control that is installed
- The protocol that is used
- Your network address
- Your local computer name
- Whether accelerated screen transfer is
used
- The compression type in use (if any)
- Who is currently remotely controlling your
computer
To view remote control progress
