You have the option of being notified whenever your computer is accessed for a remote control session. If you choose to be notified when your computer is being remotely accessed, a status icon appears on your desktop or in the notification area, and a sound can be played. These settings are enabled on the Notification tab in the Remote Control Properties dialog box.

To view remote control progress, right-click the Remote Control icon and select Status. The status window that opens indicates the following:

• The version of Configuration Manager Remote Control that is installed
  
  
• The protocol that is used
  
  
• Your network address
  
  
• Your local computer name
  
  
• Whether accelerated screen transfer is used
  
  
• The compression type in use (if any)
  
  
• Who is currently remotely controlling your computer
