When a program is deleted from a package, the package information is updated in the Configuration Manager 2007 site database. All of the advertisements for this program are also deleted from the database and removed from clients that have received them. If the advertised program has already been run on the client computer, however, that software is not removed.

Note
To delete a program from a package, you must have Modify permission for the Package security object type or for the specific package instance. For more information about security permissions, see Classes and Instances for Object Security in Configuration Manager.
