Monitoring the ongoing status of a package is a common task for Configuration Manager 2007 administrators. This status can be viewed for either a single package or for all available packages.

To view the status of a single package

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / System Status.

  2. Expand Package Status.

  3. To view the overall status of a specific package, click the package name. Status details will be displayed in the Results pane.

    Note
    You can also view status messages by right-clicking the package name, pointing to Show Messages, and then clicking the type of message you want to view: All, Error, Warnings, or Info. For more information about the Status Message Viewer, see ConfigMgr Status Message Viewer Overview.
  4. To view the status of a specific package based on the sites associated with it, expand the package name and click the site name you want to view. Status details will be displayed in the Results pane.

To view the status of all packages

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / System Status.

  2. Click Package Status. Status details will be displayed in the Results pane.

    You can view status messages for individual packages in the Results pane by right-clicking the specific package name, pointing to Show Messages, and then clicking the type of message you want to view: All, Error, Warnings, or Info.
