Use the Source File Compression page in the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Distribute Software to Devices Wizard to specify the directory containing the source files to be compressed and stored for the package. Ensure that the directory remains accessible to the site server until it finishes storing the compressed version of the source files. This page contains the elements described in the following table.

- Package
- Specifies the name of the package being created.
- Source directory location
- Specifies the type of location for the source directory. Two
options are available:
- Network path (UNC Name)
- Local drive on site server
- Network path (UNC Name)
- Source directory
- Specifies the network path or local directory path to the
package source files. To specify the path to the source directory,
either type the path or click Browse to navigate to the
source directory location.
Note The source directory of the source files must be NTFS format. FAT file format will not store files.
- Previous
- Goes to the previous page of the wizard.
- Next
- Goes to the next page of the wizard.
- Finish
- Goes to the Summary page of the wizard.
- Cancel
- Discards the settings and exits the wizard.
