The SMS 2003 client health monitoring tool was published as an add-on for SMS 2003 Service Pack 1. This tool and its objectives are similar to client status reporting in Configuration Manager 2007 R2. However, a number of improvements to the SMS 2003 client health monitoring tool have been made in Configuration Manager 2007 R2 client status reporting.
