You can use Configuration Manager 2007 to manage settings for remote assistance sessions where these are initiated from the Configuration Manager console.

Configure unsolicited Remote Assistance settings

Selecting this check box allows Configuration Manager 2007 to manage unsolicited remote assistance sessions.Unsolicited remote assistance sessions are those where the user at the client computer does not request assistance in order to initiate a session.
Configure solicited Remote Assistance settings

Selecting this check box allows Configuration Manager 2007 to manage solicited remote assistance sessions.Solicited remote assistance sessions are those where the user at the client computer sends a request to the administrator for remote assistance.
Level of access allowed

Specifies the level of access which will be granted to remote assistance sessions initiated from the Configuration Manager console.Available settings are:
  • Full Control

  • Remote Viewing

  • None

The default setting is None.
Note
The user at the client computer must always give permission for a remote assistance session to take place.
OK

Saves the changes, and exits the dialog box.
Cancel

Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
Apply

Saves the changes, and remains in the dialog box.
Help

Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
