The Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) log processing service uses collected compatibility information to help determine Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP deployment readiness. You can configure where the collected compatibility data will be stored and accessed by ACT.

Use the following procedure to configure the ACT Connector:

To configure the ACT Connector

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to
System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Application Compatibility Toolkit Connector / ACT

  2. To open the properties of the ACT server, right-click the ACT server in the results pane, and then select Properties. Alternatively, you can select Configure ACT Server in the Actions pane, or click the Actions menu and select Configure ACT Server.

  3. To specify the server that is running Microsoft SQL Server and that contains the ACT database, type the name of the server, and then click Connect.
