Configuration baselines in Configuration Manager 2007 must be assigned to one or more collections before client computers in those collections can assess their compliance with the configuration baseline. During the assignment process, you are prompted for both a collection and a compliance evaluation schedule. The collection and compliance schedule then become additional properties of the configuration baseline, which can be viewed with a new tab named Assignments.
Each configuration baseline can have multiple assignments, each with their own compliance evaluation schedule. The default value for an assignment's evaluation schedule is taken from the schedule setting in the General tab of the desired configuration management client agent properties.
There are therefore two ways to set the compliance evaluation schedule for a configuration baseline:
- In the Set Schedule page of the
Assign Configuration Baseline Wizard.
- In the Assignment tab of the
configuration baseline properties, after the configuration baseline
has been assigned.
