Use this procedure to remove the fallback status point site role from a Configuration Manager 2007 site.

Important
If this site system role is removed, client computers will not automatically assign themselves to another fallback status point. To assign computers to another fallback status point, see the topic How to Assign the Fallback Status Point to Configuration Manager Client Computers.

To remove the fallback status point

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> - <site name> / Site Settings / Site Systems.

  2. Select the server containing the fallback status point.

  3. Select the Fallback Status Point from the Site Systems Roles pane.

  4. Right-click the ConfigMgr fallback status point entry in the results pane and then click Delete.

  5. To confirm the site role deletion, click Yes.
