You can disable a program to prevent Configuration Manager 2007 from running it on client computers where it is currently advertised. When a program is disabled, the program is still sent to distribution points and is still advertised on client computers, but it will not be displayed or run on the client. This behavior is the same that occurs when an advertisement with which the program has been associated has been disabled.
You can enable an advertisement that has been disabled to resume availability of the program to client computers.
