You can install most SMS 2.0
tools by running the SMS Setup program from the Systems Management
Server version 2.0 compact disc.
Note HealthMon, Network Monitor,
SMS Installer, and Crystal Info for SMS have specific
installation requirements and guidelines. For more information, see
About Installing Tools.
To most install SMS tools, use the
following procedure:
Insert the SMS version 2.0 compact disc into the server's
CD-ROM drive. SMS Setup starts automatically.
Click Set Up SMS 2.0.
In the Welcome screen, click Next.
In the System Configuration screen, click
Next.
In the SMS Server Platform screen, select the platform
on which you are installing the tools, and then click
Next.
In the Setup Installation Options screen, select the SMS
tools (options) you want to install. When you select a tool, a
description for that tool appears.
After you select the options you want installed, complete the
remaining screens until the completion screen opens.
Review the list of tools you chose. To change a selection,
double-click it. Setup Wizard displays the appropriate screen,
where you can make your changes. After you make your changes, click
Next until you return to the completion screen.
When you are satisfied with your choices, click
Finish.
SMS 2.0 installs the selected
tools.
To remove a tool, rerun SMS Setup and
click Modify or reset the current installation. Then, follow
the procedure described above, but clear the tool options as
appropriate.
