Access Tools

You can start the Crystal Info, Network Monitor, SMS Service Manager, and Software Metering tools directly from the Tools item in the SMS Administrator console, if you have installed these tools through SMS Setup.

1. 

   Navigate to Tools.

2.  Systems Management Server
      Site Database
         Tools

3. Right-click the tool you want to use.
4. Point to All Tasks, and then click Start <tool_name>.

To open all other SMS tools:

1. Select the item you want in the SMS Administrator console.
2. Right-click the item, point to All Tasks, and then click Start <tool_name>.

Note   You might not be able to access Network Monitor or HealthMon from within the SMS Administrator console, depending on how you installed these tools. To access Network Monitor from within the SMS Administrator console, you must install it by running the SMS Setup program, not the Network Monitor Setup program. To access HealthMon from within the SMS Administrator console, you must add it as a snap-in. For more information, see About Installing Tools and Add Snap-Ins to the SMS Administrator Console.
