Security for Running Reports

Reports are run with the rights of the user account specified in the Accounts tab of the Schedule dialog box. Report results are limited to the security objects that this account has permission to view.

Security for Crystal Info Services

The Crystal Info services Info Agent, Info APS, and Info Sentinel run under the default SMS Service account. Do not modify the default SMS Service account that the Crystal Info services run as. If you rename the Service account or change its password, the Crystal Info services will not be able to communicate. If you do change the default SMS Service accounts that the Crystal Info services run as, use this procedure to restore the properties of the account.

1. In Control Panel, double-click the Services icon.
2. Double-click the Crystal Info service whose properties you want to modify.
3. In the Log On As group box, change the account you want these services to run as, its password, or both. However, do not select System Account.

Note    Do not change the accounts that the Crystal Info services run as to system accounts. Info Agent, Info APS, and Info Sentinel must run as user accounts that have the same rights as the SMS Service account.
