Running Diagnostics on Clients Overview

You can run diagnostics on Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows NT 5.0 clients. You can use the results to solve client hardware problems and other troubleshooting problems.

For Windows NT clients, you can run Windows NT Diagnostics from the client computer name in a collection. Windows NT Diagnostics (WinMSD) for the client appears on your console. For more information about running Windows NT Diagnostics, see the Windows NT product documentation.

For Windows 3.x, Windows 95, or Windows 98 clients, you can run diagnostics from the Remote Tools window. For more information about running diagnostics for these clients, see Running Diagnostics on Non-Windows NT Clients Overview.
