Remote Tools

Using the Remote Tools feature of SMS 2.0, you can operate and troubleshoot a client computer without physically going to the computer. Remote Tools uses a network connection to bring a view of the client monitor onto your display so you can work on the client computer. You can run programs or commands on the client computer by using Remote Execute, or you can even restart the client by using Remote Reboot. You can examine the current configuration and run Windows or MS-DOS diagnostics to troubleshoot problems on client computers. Finally, you can converse on screen with the user at the client computer using Remote Chat and transfer files to the client computer using File Transfer.
