Use MOF Manager to Customize SMS_def.mof

  1. Start MOF Manager.
  2. In MOF Manager, click Picture of Open Button.
  3. Select the SMS_def.mof file, and then click Open.

  4. The disabled classes and properties appear in red; the enabled classes and properties appear in green.

  5. To change the state of a class or property, double-click it.
  6. Click Picture of Save Button to save your changes to the SMS_def.mof file.

To use your customized SMS_def.mof for hardware inventory, copy the customized file to the \SMS\Inboxes\Clifiles.src\Hinv directory on the site server.
