Help Keyboard Shortcuts

The following table lists the keyboard shortcuts for commands that act on the Systems Management Server (SMS) Help Viewer.

Action Result
CTRL+END Goes to the end of the topic.
CTRL+HOME Goes to the beginning of the topic.
SHIFT+TAB Switches between the key word, the index, and the Display button.
TAB Moves to topics in the table of contents, index, and search list, and to all links in the displayed topic.
BACKSPACE Returns to the book icon immediately preceding the current book icon.
UP ARROW Moves up one topic in the table of contents, index, and search list.
DOWN ARROW Moves down one topic in the table of contents, index, and search list.
PAGE UP Moves up one page in the table of contents, index, and search list.
PAGE DOWN Moves down one page in the table of contents, index, and search list.
ALT+SPACEBAR Displays the System menu. Use the arrow keys to choose a command and then press ENTER.
ALT+F4 Closes Help.
ALT+TAB Switches between Help and other open windows.
CTRL+A Highlights text in the topic pane.
ALT+C Displays the table of contents.
CTRL+C Copies the selected text.
ALT+N Displays the Index.
ALT+L In the Search tab, this shortcut lists topics associated with the words in the Type in the words to search box. You can also press ENTER to list the topics.
ALT+O Displays the Options menu.
ALT+O+T     Hides and displays the navigation pane.
ALT+O+B Goes to the previous topic (if there is one).
ALT+O+F Goes to the next topic (if there is one).
ALT+O+L Locates the current topic in the table of contents.
ALT+O+R Refreshes the current topic.
ALT+P Goes to the topic list in the Search tab.
ALT+S Displays the Search tab.
CTRL+V Pastes text in to a file.
