You can use this database maintenance task to export the SMS site database to a backup device. To use this feature, you must first create a backup device in SQL Server. (See the SQL Server documentation for more information.) You can export the database immediately, or you can schedule exporting to occur automatically at a later time. Automatic exporting is disabled by default.
