You can use this command to back up the SMS site database and the software metering database, the site server registry, and the \SMS directories on the site server at the selected site. Databases at other sites are not affected. Automatic backup is disabled by default.
If the backup directory specified in the Export to field is not located on the database server, the database will be dumped locally (on the database server) and then copied to the specified backup location.
Note The SMS server components will be stopped while this task is running. If your site is very large, this task might not be appropriate—if it takes several hours to back up the database, for example, SMS_Executive will not run during that time.
Site server backups are not incremental; each backup task overwrites the previous backup data.
