Create a Status Filter Rule


Note   You must have Modify permission for the Site security object class or instance to perform this procedure.

  1.  Systems Management Server
       Lower levelSite Database
         Lower levelSite Hierarchy
           Lower levelsite name
             Lower levelSite Settings
               Lower levelStatus Filter Rules

  2. Right-click Status Filter Rules, point to New, and then click Status Filter Rule.
  3. On the General tab of the Status Filter Rule Properties dialog box, specify message-matching criteria for the filter rule.
  4. Click the Actions tab, and then specify the actions to be taken when a status message matches the filter rule.

Note    SMS 2.0 only requires that the Status Filter Rule has a name. If the rule is created but not given any criteria for processing status messages, it will have no effect. This allows you to create and organize rules before actually configuring the status filter criteria for each rule.
