Software metering servers in a site use the Software Metering Service account (SWMAccount) to run the software metering service. SMS creates this account when the software metering server role is assigned to a site system.
The Software Metering Service account is a member of the local Administrators group on the site system that is assigned the software metering server role. This account has the Log on as a service right.
